According to the Insurance Information Institute, the average American spent $795 on car insurance in 2007. The averages change from year to year, but how insurance companies formulate the cost of your auto insurance premiums don’t fluctuate much.
Age
Younger drivers are statistically more likely to get into accidents, according to the California DMV, particularly those in the 16 to 19 age group. This means that, the older you get, the less you pay for car insurance premiums. Age also affects your credit score, which insurers use to provide quotes. A longer credit history means a better credit score, which translates to lower car insurance rates.
You will pay more for auto insurance if you have a teenage driver on your policy. This is especially true when he or she first receives a learning permit or license.
Driving Habits
How many accidents have you caused? How many traffic tickets have you received? How far do you drive to work? Where is your car stored when not in use? Your driving habits encompass all of these and more, and will impact the cost of your car insurance premiums. The more you drive, for example, the higher the risk.
Residence
Where you live is also an relate. Some states, such as New Jersey and Louisiana, have higher car insurance rates than others. You might pay less if you live in a less-populous county, and you might pay more if you live in a big metropolitan area.
Furthermore, your actual residence can alter the cost of your car insurance premiums. If you live in a single-family residence with a garage, your car is more protected than if you park in the lot at your apartment complex.
Vehicle
Some cars are just more expensive to insure than others. You will also pay more if you choose to buy higher levels of liability, comprehensive and collision coverage. Generally speaking, newer, more valuable cars are more expensive to insure than older, cheaper models.
Security Risks
If your car is equipped with security devices, such as alarm systems and anti-lock brakes, you will probably lower the cost of your car insurance premiums. Most insurers offer discounts if your vehicle is more secure, so it sometimes pays to install after-market security devices if your car is not equipped with them.
Occupation
If your work is far from your home or if you utilize your vehicle in the course of your job, this will increase your car insurance premiums. For example, a pizza delivery driver might have to pay more than a high school teacher because the former uses his vehicle all day, and therefore presents a higher risk of an accident. However, depending on your occupation, your employer may provide you with insurance coverage for your vehicle when it is being used for the job, so be sure to discuss this with your insurance agent.
Pricing Auto Insurance Premiums
Even if you have significant risk factors for higher car insurance, you can unexcited lower your rates by being a safe driver and by taking advantage of discounts. Let your agent know that you are concerned about your premiums, and ask about any ways that you might be able to lower them.

Many people call around for auto insurance quotes looking for cheaper prices. It is not disputable that price is the number one reason why people shop around for a different insurance company. While cost is very important to everyone there are other factors to consider like the quality of company giving you cheap quotes, if they are there when you need them most, how long it takes to settle a claim, and more. Here are the top 5 questions you should ask auto insurance agents as you shop to compare their rates with other companies.
1 – Are There Extra Charges For Splitting The Premium Into Payments?
This is very important because while some companies charge a few dollars, others charge $15 dollars a payment or even apply interest charges to payments as high as 22-25%. While many companies may quote you a great rate, their payment penalties in a lot of cases will make them more expensive in the long run.
2 – Is Your Company Rated Highly Financially Secure?
There are outside unbiased companies that rate auto insurance carriers on their customer service and financial stability. For financial stability A.M. Best rates most or all auto insurance companies. Their top rating, AAA, means they will be very financially secure so that company will have no problem paying your claim swiftly. If the company is rated lower, like A, they may not have the financial backing to quickly fix your car or veil catastrophic losses.
3 – What is Covered By Your ERS, Or Towing, Service?
Not all emergency roadside services are created equal. Many companies include ERS for free or low cost when you purchase comprehensive and collision coverages (full coverage) for your vehicle. While it seems like a great deal to get the coverage for free, that coverage may only pay to tow your car 7 miles or less and it may not cover you if you go out of state. The best ERS covers you as far as it takes to get to a repair facility. If you have the tow coverage and your car breaks down, you should be able to use your ERS to earn to the closest garage as to get it fixed. Anything less could wind up costing you a lot of money in excess tow miles so compare the services companies offer and execute sure the insurance package you choose has this included.
4 – What hours are you open?
Many insurance companies are launch from 9-5, Monday-Friday. What if you need help at night or on weekends? With many companies and independent agents you need to wait for them to get into the office. Picking a company that is opened 24/7 will ensure that help is a phone call away if you have an accident, emergency, or need your questions answered during off hours due to your own busy work schedule. When you are shopping to compare auto insurance rates this is very important and is worth spending a couple extra dollars for a policy that offers around the clock service.
5 – How Long Will It Purchase to Settle A Claim?
Some companies will amble and make you wait weeks, sometimes months before paying the claim to catch your car fixed. This goes in line with financial stability. It seems like the more financially come by a company is the quicker your car is repaired. None the less, this is a great question to ask when you are shopping to compare auto insurance rates because some companies put a lot of effort into great claims service while others are happy to take your insurance payments and leave you with bad claims service.
While there are more questions you may have of your prospective auto insurance company do not forget to ask these 5 when you are shopping around. As you compare their rates, remember, the cheapest company is not necessarily the best insurance company. You get what you pay for so shop for great pricing and a great company.

I woke up one fine winter morning to explore that Mother Nature had deposited nearly 6 inches of fresh snow all over my car, driveway and the surrounding landscape. Being out of work at the time, I decided that there was no urgent need to go out in the cold to clear away all that snow as there was nowhere I had to go. I made a pot of coffee and started preheating the oven to make some Cinnamon rolls to be pleased with my wife. The noise I was making caused my wife to wake up and after our morning pleasantries to one another, she asked “did you go out yet to buy the paper”? That simple question caused me to ponder the worth and value of going out to select up a daily newspaper versus turning on the computer on a day when I really did not feel like dealing with the elements. After our simple breakfast, I started jotting down reasons why the paper is such an important part of our lives. After a very short time, I had twenty reasons to lift a daily newspaper and decided that going out that morning, even if just to purchase that paper, was worth the trouble instead of surfing the web. Here then, in no necessary order of relevance or importance, are twenty good reasons for getting your daily newspaper.
1. Going out to get the newspaper makes you get up, get dressed, brush your hair or put on a hat and go outside to, as my folks used to say, “gather the stink blown off”! Oh sure, sitting down at the computer might be easier, but it does not prepare you for the rest of the day clothing or stink blown off wise.
2. You get your daily influx of news, both local and national, sports and weather. Come on, admit it, it’s easier flipping the pages of a newspaper instead of jumping from site to site on the Internet. And, in lots of instances, local newsworthy events are more up to date and easier to find in the paper as opposed to searching the net.
3. Checking out local events in your area is a breeze using the newspaper. All you do is turn to the “Local” share of the paper and voila, there are all the notices about Red Depraved blood collection sites and hours, special events happening at the mall, astronomical price slashing sales at the grocery store, what community centers are offering meals for senior citizens that day, the list goes on and on.
4. While this offers the biggest distraction to reading their product, most newspaper editors graciously offer up daily television programming information. Perhaps sometime in the future, there will be a television reality demonstrate based on a group of people reading the newspaper!
5. Have you ever tried to line the bottom of a birdcage with a lap top computer instead of a few sheets of newspaper?
6. The “Classified” listings of the newspaper brings you a plethora of information, categorized under specific headings, relative to what people want to sell, what they want to purchase, what jobs are available, exact estate, rental properties, vacation opportunities, lost and found, automotive sales by dealers and individuals, pets for sale; if it’s something you are looking for, there is probably a classification for it in the want ads.
7. You can use sheets of newspaper to wrap fragile china and glassware for storage. I guess you could also use your computer for that, if you have the time and it’s worth the effort to print out sheet after sheet on your printer labeled “glass”, “plate”, “bowl”, etc, etc, etc..
8. It’s easier to roll up a section of newspaper to shoo away flies or other bugs rather than trying to swing a lap top or PC at them.
9. The Sunday paper usually contains a comics section with brightly colored cartoon selections. Consider how entertaining it would be to recycle that colorful section of the paper as gift wrap!
10. Those portions of the comics section that you don’t use as gift wrap, can be creased and folded and with extreme artistic deftness on your piece, be turned into party hats for whatever celebration you are giving the gifts at.
11. If you have a pet dog or cat, a couple sheets of newspaper on the floor can create hours of entertainment for them, trying to burrow under it to inspect what lies hidden beneath. If you have a cat as easily entertained as mine, a balled up section of paper becomes a toy that he can bat all over the house and chase until he wears himself out. This particular form of pet toy is a whole lot cheaper and less noisy than those infernal plastic balls that have little tiny bells inside that will invariably wake you up at 2:30 in the morning when the cat decides it’s time to play.
12. As day turns to night, and the temperature starts to drop, remember that news print has superior insulating qualities versus your computer. When you’re snuggled in your recliner, preparing to watch the television program that you read about in reason number 4 and your feet or hands begin getting a little frosty, impartial place a piece or two of your daily paper over them. Almost immediately, you will start to feel the comforting warmth of your gain body heat, trapped under that simple insulating layer of paper.
13. You would not use a lap top to house break a puppy would you? If you did, I’m sure the warranty that came with the computer would be voided. Newspapers don’t care what ends up all over them after they have lived out their usefulness as a source of information.
14. Continuing in the vein of using newspapers in conjunction with animals, if you be pleased putting bird feeders in your yard to attract swarms of feathered friends throughout the year, you know that some of those tube style feeders don’t offer the largest of targets into which you pour the bird seed to hold the tube. Instead of relying on a steady hand and a good eye, why not take a couple sheets of newspaper, roll them into a makeshift funnel, and then pour away. No more wasted bird seed all over the ground to attract unwanted pests. This however will not keep your annoying cousin Charlotte from complaining about the bird poop that gets on her car whenever she comes to visit you.
15. Have you ever tried to start a fire using a computer as kindling? While not recommended to commence fireplace fires, newspapers are handy to have when trying to ignite bonfires or campfires. You don’t want to be making “s’mores” over a fully involved computer fire!
16. Newspapers are far superior to computers when it comes time to relax in a hammock on a sunny day or make your arrangement from under screen to your car on a rainy day. You get done mowing the lawn and decide to rest up for a bit in your hammock. The sun is beaming down so fiercely that even when you close your eyes, you still get that impression of glowing red through your eyelids. Solution at hand – just drape a section of newspaper across your face. Hey, that brings to mind the fact that newspapers can protect you from melanoma great better than a computer can! On a rainy day, when you trudge out of your workplace or shopping center, and you need to make that hundred yard dash to your car, would you rather have a newspaper or a six hundred dollar lap top to hold over your head protecting you from the rain? If you knew it was going to rain and you’re a proactive type person, I guess you would have an umbrella at your disposal for this instance thereby negating the need of the newspaper. But you should have bought the paper anyway because of all the other reasons I’m giving you.
17. You can use an inexpensive daily newspaper to do the same protection that you would get from a much higher priced plunge cloth if you decide you need to spray paint something that is not stationary. Just spread that handy paper out, place whatever you are painting atop the protective paper shield, shake the living daylights out of that can of spray paint, and then Michaelangelo away to your heart’s content. When you’re done, the item you wanted to paint is painted and the surface below where you were painting is not painted. This of course becomes a moot point if you want the item being painted and the dwelling around it to all end up the same color. If that’s the case, don’t bother reading this suggestion.
18. Let’s say you have just had new carpet installed in your home or you just spent a lot of effort cleaning the carpet you already had. Company is coming over and wouldn’t you know it, here comes the rain as well. You never thought to purchase a shoe or boot tray on your last shopping trip and you don’t want your new (or freshly cleaned) carpet to be subjected to the wet shoe soles that you know are arriving with your guests. Ta Da, just fracture out a couple sections of your handy, dandy daily newspaper and spread them neatly on the floor near the door. Then when your guests come, you can politely account for to them your carpet situation and request that they remove their wet shoes and leave them on the papers by the door. This not only saves your carpet from becoming soiled prematurely, it also affords you the opportunity to see which of your guests has the audacity of leaving home with holes in their socks! Further research will probably reveal that those folks were never chided by their mother about leaving the house with dirty underwear. You know, “what if you get hit by a car and need to be taken to the hospital and when they take your clothes off they see you’re wearing dirty underwear. What are they going to think about your mother if that happens”?
19. Energy conservation is on everyone’s mind these days. It is a lot cheaper to operate a daily newspaper for a couple of hours (especially if it is recycled newspaper) rather that firing up the old computer. I don’t care how energy star compliant computers are, I just know that it costs more to use electricity than to read a paper.
20. My final offering is for those who have kids who have ever had to produce a school project. Oh the computer can be a huge help with homework and projects but they will never, ever be able to take the place of the good old fashioned daily newspaper when it comes time to produce one of those elementary school assignments – creating a veil or a solar system or a building – out of paper mache!
Well there they are, twenty good reasons that you need a daily newspaper in your life. And, as if on cue, there goes my doorbell. I contemplate I’ll carry out a number 18 followed by number 3 and if that fails to cause us all to leave the house, I’ll check out number 4 in case we speed out of things to talk about – that we discovered this morning in number 2.

If you are shopping for car insurance, you know there are dozens of auto insurance companies advertising the lowest rates and best policies. The car insurance market is fragmented and state-regulated, so it can be difficult to know if you are getting the best deal. Here are some tips to pick up the cheapest deals on car insurance.
1) Use multiple comparison sites
Your first stop should be websites that allow you to compare car insurance quotes from different companies. The two largest sites, Insweb and Insurance.com, ask for your information once, then transmit a request for a quote to different insurance companies. In most cases, you will be presented with an immediate quote from each of the largest car insurance companies.
These sites allow to assign substantial time by receiving multiple quotes after entering your information unbiased once. In addition, because you can see the quotes from different insurance companies, you can easily find a cheap deal for your particular policy. You can adjust features of your policy and see how a higher deductible or increased coverage will change your quote.
Note that comparison shopping websites accomplish money by receiving a commission on every policy that is sold through one of their quotes. This means they only provide quotes from insurance companies that offer a commission on sale. Many small, regional insurance companies do not offer kickbacks and are thus not listed on comparison websites. If you live in a rural location or have very specific needs, you may want to visit the websites of your local insurance companies to receive more detailed quotes.
2) Check for discounts
All major U.S. car insurance companies participate in discount programs. Some programs, such as retired military or credit union membership, are open only to a bewitch group. Others, such as AAA or AARP, are inaugurate to a much larger audience. The three best options for discount car insurance are your employer, your school, and your financial institution. Nearly all automobile drivers can glean some time of discount policy through one of these organizations.
Once you determine which discount programs you eligible for, you should call the insurance company that has the cheapest quote on a comparison shopping website. After providing your information, you can tell the representative that you were quoted a specific rate online and verify that you will be eligible for that same rate over the phone. Once the representative has verified the quoted rate, you can consume advantage of your membership discount. In most cases the discount will apply on top of the already-low rate that was generated by the system based on your online comparison shopping.
3) Adjust your policy
You can save hundreds of dollars a year on your car insurance policy by opting for a higher deductible or reducing collision and comprehensive coverage on older cars. For drivers with a clean record and decent credit score, increasing your deductible is a smart way to secure a cheaper deal on car insurance. Because every subsequent insurance claim will raise your future cost of insurance, it is unwise to file multiple claims for small amounts of money. A higher deductible will allow you to avoid using insurance for minor issues that can be covered out of pocket and save you money every year on premiums.
For old cars, the cost of one year of collision and comprehensive coverage will often exceed 50% of the market value of the car. Unless you have a history of frequent accidents and auto thefts, it makes financial sense to eliminate coverage on an older car and do the premium. Most policies allow you to adjust specific features of your car insurance and seek how much reducing collision and comprehensive coverage can save you over the year.
Remember that the car insurance market is state-specific and that policies are quoted for specific cars and drivers. In the long-run, the best way to save money on car insurance is to maintain helpful credit, avoid accidents and insurance claims, and drive a non-luxury car. Any driver can find the cheapest deals on car insurance by shopping online, checking for discounts, and adjusting their policy.

PRELIMINARY SETUPS…..
There are a few things that you will need for all four of these opportunities. Lets rep them all taken care of first and foremost.
1) You will need to have some sort of paper to write on, or at least something that will keep sterling records. If that reliable source is as a note on your cell phone, as a stick um on the bathroom mirror, or whatever, as long as it works then go for it! It is important to have this note-taking item beside you, because you will need to write down websites, passwords, user names, URL’s, and so forth. If you lose this information, its really hard to recover it!
2) You will need an email account. If you don’t already have one, go to yahoo.com and notice up for a free one. Do NOT pay for their “premium” service. Its not necessary! WRITE DOWN YOUR NEW EMAIL ADDRESS AND PASSWORD! And in actuality, even if you already have another email anecdote, I suggest setting up a yahoo one because it is free, it has nothing to do with your personal internet subscriptions, you can check it anywhere, people worldwide recognize yahoo, it is easy to use, and you can use it exclusively for business purposes if you like for easy records keeping.
3) Gather your banking information. If you are using somebody else;s account, you will need to get a blank check from them, their narrative number, and of course their permission. Make SURE that you communicate thoroughly with them that they may be receiving money into their account on your behalf. If you are using your own account, bring to the computer a blank check and the name, address, and phone number of your banking institution.
4) Station UP A PAYPAL ACCOUNT
Paypal is an online bank, basically. It is a go between for you and your affiliate marketing company. Paypal gives you a debit card, which you can either use at a store or anywhere that cards are taken, or you can spend in any ATM and pull out cash. Paypal has numerous safety features in place to retain thieves from hacking into your account and stealing your money too! If you haven’t heard of paypal, let me tell you, I LOVE it! I have been with Paypal since 2005. I have had no worries whatsoever. They also have a live person aid team that is so nice, courteous, and VERY thorough, even better than my local bank to be impartial. Most affiliate marketing companies will want to pay you with paypal because it is so much easier than a paper check, its immediate to them AND immediate to you, and its got spacious immediate records keeping for you and for them. You can also use paypal to accept payments from your own customers like for sales and stuff. Paypal is also used by other companies, but I will get to that later.
Anyways, if you don’t have an account with them, here is a link to set one up:
https://www.paypal.com/us/mrb/pal=YQCHRWWRJKH8E
When you go to this website, it is going to say something about being able to accept credit cards. Just disregard that, because at this point it doesn’t apply to you anyways. Maybe if you get to be a big whig online business person, it will, but for now its not important. Scroll down and hit “Ticket up today”
On the next screen, you will have three options. The first is a “personal” account, the second is a “premier”, and the third is a “business” account. Sign up for the “Premier” account. The premier paypal account will give you a free debit card, and will allow you to receive money for your “services rendered”, which is what the affiliate marketing calls your advertising efforts. You will also need this to receive payments from article writing, customers on ebay, and other sources. Hit the “Premier Account” button.
On the next screen, you will be asked for personal information, as in any form. It will also ask you for your banking account information. You can consume somebody else’s account if you want to, but make obvious you have permission AND they understand that you will might be getting money deposited to their bank account as you are working. Paypal asks for your banking information because you can have money transferred from paypal to your bank. Also, if you seize something on ebay using paypal and you don’t have enough money in your paypal account, you can request that paypal take the remaining money out of the bank account. But in any case, paypal wants a bank account of some sort attached to your account.
Some people like to set up a bank account for the purpose of paypal. Some banks, especially those in large metro areas, know all about paypal and will set you up with a checking account for free knowing that it is only for paypal.
Finally, make sure that you get your account verified. This will be accomplished by paypal sending to your bank account a deposit of between one cent and one dollar. Once this deposit shows up in your bank account, you will be asked to log back in and enter these amounts, after which you will be verified. It is very famous to be verified because without it, paypal may impose a limit to how much money you can invent or how much money you can withdraw, or both.
Once you finish entering in all the information WRITE DOWN YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD!!! These are of vital importance!
5) State up a free website. This is not an “absolute” step, but when it comes to affiliate marketing, it gives you a scapegoat to get around some of the blogging site rules and regulations. I’ll explain that part later on.
I have a website that is totally free. I set it up about a year and a half ago to market my Native American beadwork. The company I consume is at http://www.tripod.lycos.com. If you want to set up the website, you can use it for whatever you want. Remove the free option though. The only difference between the free version and the $4.95 a month version is the ads banner at the top of the webpage. Which moral now, it really doesn’t make any difference anyways. I have never had any trouble with tripod and its always kindly. I advise that you go through the help or tutorials to help you navigate all the bells and whistles. Be sure you can devote an hour or so to at least familiarize yourself with their website.
NOW THAT WE HAVE THE PRELIMINARIES OUT OF THE WAY, LETS GET STARTED ON THE JUICY STUFF!
———————————————————————————————————————-
1. ARTICLE WRITING
You may have heard of freelance writers, bloggers, blurb writers, search engine optimization articles, or any number of types of writing. In fact, more than likely you have seen job listings asking for writers of this sort. Sometimes the jobs are real, sometimes they are not.
The fact is, there really is a market out there for good article writing. And, although there are a host of different types of writing that can be performed, in my experience the most commonly requested type of work is SEO articles. These are “search engine optimization” articles. They are written similar to a high school narrate, where you find information on a given topic and then reword it in your own words without plagiarizing.
The goal of these articles is to earn the search engines recognize the article first above all of the others.
For example, lets say that you type in the phrase “auto insurance in Denver” into the search bar. Your search results will show a whole list of who knows how many websites. The first websites listed will be the ones which hold the exact phrase “auto insurance in Denver”, followed by the most popular websites which contain any of the words in any random order. So, naturally, since websites with staunch phrases are shown first, it stands to reason that webmasters would want their website to contain key phrases. That is where search engine optimization comes in. You, the author, write an article about auto insurance, and then here and there in the article you will write “auto insurance in Denver” so that it sounds like it is naturally occurring in the text.
I have worked for a wonderful company for the last two years, found at:
This company has work for you to do every day. It is at your contain pace, on your own time, no strings attached. Once you sign up with them, which is totally free by the way, they will ask you to write for them a small sample article on some topic of some sort. After you submit this article, they will give you a rating. Remember, it is absolutely, positively imperative that you gaze your spelling and grammar! Mistakes can mean the difference between acceptance into the company as a writer and denial! Once you receive an email saying you are common, WRITE DOWN YOUR USER NAME AND PASSWORD!!!
Textbroker pays monthly, and via paypal, which is why having a paypal account is so vital. They have paid me on time every single month and in the exact amount I had earned. I am able to examine how much money I have earned on any given day or at any time. I can accept jobs anytime I want on topics I want to write about. I can even change my mind if I salvage an article and I can’t do it or I don’t want to do it for any given reason. It is the ultimate, perfect work-from-home job, because there is nothing to sell, no investment at all, no worries about getting paid, and qualified proper income.
I suggest that you sign up with them if you want to be able to construct immediate, regular income. In any given day and in my spare time I can build $40 easy. In one day, my max earnings with textbroker has been $250. Once you get to their website, look around and learn all about them. You will not regret signing up with them!
Nobody will converse you this next tip, so pick careful notes. I want to remark you how easy it is to get started writing informational articles for the web, and textbroker is the place to glean your feet wet!
1. Article writing is basically nothing more than a paid version of the high-school book relate. Technically speaking, we are all supposed to know everything about everything when we write an article, but in reality, most of us know jack squat. True? So rather than beating yourself up about how noteworthy, or how tiny, you know, all you have to do is find a website that is similar to what you are writing about, and reword or rephrase the yelp therein. Now, this does not by any means give you the fair to plagiarize, and let me make this very clear. Plagiarism is the same thing as copying, and it is against the law. Rewording or rephrasing, on the other hand, means that you read a block of text and then paraphrase it in your own way or your own words.
When you rewrite or rephrase a block of text, there are four general rules to work with:
1) At a minimum, every fourth word must be different from the original text. For example, if an original sentence says, “I worship to eat cheesecake and strawberries for breakfast on Sundays,” you could rewrite it so say, “I love to CONSUME cheesecake and strawberries DURING breakfast on Sundays.”
2) Use acronyms as distinguished as possible. In the above example, I replaced EAT in the novel text with CONSUME. Using acronyms allows you to keep the overall meaning of the original text while complying with copyright regulations.
3) When the unusual text contains a list of items, rewrite them in reverse order. For example, if an new sentence states, “I have a dog, a cat, and a fish in my home,” you could rewrite it to say “I have a fish, a cat, and a dog in my home.”
4) It is better to add words than to take them away. For example, if an fresh sentence says, “I like to eat cheese,” you could add words and create the new text say, “I am very fond of eating cheese.” You have retained the same meaning, added extra fluffy words, and avoided plagiarizing.
As you begin your work through textbroker, or any other writing brokerage firm for that matter, you will want to stick to these rules as closely as possible until you get a handle on things. In many cases, you will find yourself writing articles on subjects that you have absolutely no clue about personally. By sticking to these rules you avoid looking like a complete idiot, publishing inaccurate information, and losing income when articles are rejected.
A fifth rule, which is really more of a suggestion than an etched-in-stone law, is the practice of paraphrasing. Paraphrasing is sometimes difficult for the beginner, especially if he or she is nervous or under pressure. Paraphrasing techniques involve rewording the recent text so that all of the original meaning is retained, every fourth word is different, all lists of items are reversed or in a different order, and acronyms are used as much as possible. As time goes by, and as the writer gains experience, it will become second nature to automatically paraphrase any block of text regardless of the subject matter.
Let me give you an example of a job from textbroker. We are going to use the KEY PHRASE three times, as well as all of the rules of writing.
Topic: Cod Liver Oil
The customer requests a general subject, 200 word article about Cod Liver Oil for an online health food clearinghouse. The customer requests that you include the key phrase three to five times within the text.
You now will open a second internet explorer browser page and type in “Cod Liver Oil” in parenthesis. Scroll through the lists of results for a website that talks about cod liver oil. You will want one that discusses the product in general, since this is the type of article the customer requests. FYI, Wikipedia is a GREAT source of information.
Once you find a general discussion of cod liver oil, launch to rewrite the original text according to our rules and guidelines above.
Lets pretend that the original content reads as follows:
“Cod liver oil is a nutritional supplement derived from liver of cod fish. It has high levels of the omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, and very high levels of vitamin A, and vitamin D. It is widely taken to ease the symptoms of arthritis as well as other health benefits. It was once commonly given to children.”
You now reword/rewrite/paraphrase this modern block of text, resulting in the following new text:
“Cod liver oil, which is a common nutritional supplement, is derived from the liver of the cod fish. The oil contains a high level of DHA and EPA, which are omega-3 fatty acids, and exceptionally high levels of vitamin D and vitamin A. It is often taken in order to ease the discomforting symptoms of arthritis or to provide other health benefits. Cod liver oil was once given to children as a daily health regimen.”

Wait, I told you a lie, I have another tip to fragment with you.. And that tip is STOP WORDS! When you are writing an article, the key phrase or key words may be a bit difficult to work with, or they not sound just right in an every-day sentence. Discontinuance words are words that the search engines will not recognize, so you can plug them in anywhere you like in the key phrase and still get noticed. For example, lets say your key phrase is “Furniture Upholstery Dallas”. Well gee, how are you supposed to use THAT without a petite help? Close words, of course! You could employ the cessation word “in”, and make the phrase say “Furniture Upholstery in Dallas”. That is grand better to work with, isn’t it?
A full list of the stop words for SEO optimization can be found in my other article here:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1210568/seo_stop_words_list_extensive.html? cat=2
Now, I am sure there are other companies out there that are similar to textbroker. But, since this article covers only what I know from my personal experience, I cannot speak for those other companies.

2. AUCTIONS
Virtually every area of the United States has an auction house within any given 50 mile radius. Some are ran by individuals, while others are widely advertised. Most people know that you can catch great deals at auctions. But did you know that you can quickly and easily make money at them too? And, you can get all the free stuff you want to sell at them too! No going through your own attic or storage sheds. No shelling out cash for items you consider (or hope) will turn a profit!
Here is how to find all the free stuff you could ever wish for to sell at the auction!
First, make some signs that say something like this:
” Do you have unwanted “stuff”? Did you have a yard sale and still have left overs that you’d rather throw away or give away than to look at? Give me a call! I will take all of your unwanted stuff off of your hands for free!” (add your contact information)
Post these ads anywhere that you think locals will see it: the convenience stores, grocery stores, etc. When someone calls, they will deliver you that they have X amount of stuff to get rid of . You set up a mutually convenient time to pick it up. Now all you have to do is go and get it! You never know what you will find! In fact, sometimes people rep rid of priceless artifacts without even knowing it, which is where ebay comes into the picture as well!
If you like, you can drive straight from the donator’s house to the local auction and sell it on the spot. Or, you can take it home and go through it, searching for any treasures. I have done this a few times, and I found some heirloom china pieces that (no joke) got me $50 for one tiny cramped saucer on ebay!
Auction houses usually work on a commission basis. They will sell off whatever you bring, even fall apart junk! Most of them will pay you cash by the end of the auction, while others may wish to pay you the following week. In any case, this is free money, and the only work you had to do was go get the stuff to sell!
Some auction houses will leave unsold items sitting outside for whomever wants them. So check in your local residence to see what auctions exist, what policies are in place, and so forth.
Another great plan to find stuff to sell is through craigslist. Take a look at the “free” listings for your area. I don’t know about you, but around here there will be ads by people saying they are giving away working appliances, good furniture, all sorts of things. Many times the ads will say that the item is sitting on the curb at such-and-so address, and will be there on such-and-so day, for anyone to near and glean it at their convenience. This is an awesome way to get yourself some free money! Just take a gape at what is listed and follow the money road!!!

3. HAND-MADE ITEMS AND SERVICES
Everybody knows how to do SOMETHING. Some people sew, others repair cars, and some like to write articles for the internet (although I wouldn’t have the slightest clue who those people could be… heehee).
No matter what you do, or what you create, you can rest assured that somebody out there wants to buy it. I like to play with beads and effect beautiful jewelry. I can either sell it in online venues, or I can prefer it to local consignment shops. Sometimes people even call me and place custom orders!
If you live anywhere near a business where men work, such as a factory, refinery, bank, car dealership, etc., I want you to know, on any given day there will be some hungry men there. A lot of men fail to bring sack lunches with them to work, or maybe they don’t want to! No matter if you are a man or a woman, if you hold them ready-made sandwiches somebody will win them. Start out dull at first, build up your reputation. Before you know it, you can obtain more money in one day than you would at a minimum wage job, or more! Now I don’t know about the food laws across the country, but here in Oklahoma, if you are just making a few frigid cuts sandwiches in your enjoy kitchen you don’t have to have a food handler’s license. At least, that is what a satisfactory friend of mine tells me, who does this sort of thing for a living every day.
I know of a gentleman who lives down the highway from me, he is making all-wood furniture. He makes some gorgeous things too! He is selling left and right, he can’t keep up with the orders!
What about services? What is that all about?
Services is anything you can do that provides someone with a service rather than an item, such as babysitting, cleaning, delivery services, and so forth. I can tell you, there are lots of people out there that need services every day, you only need to fabricate your name known and the jobs will start rolling in. Take a proactive advance to your employment. Make some fliers, even hand written ones, for the service you want to provide. You can even do typing services from home by advertising yourself as a person who can type up resumes or term papers.
You can put out notices AND contact real-estate agencies about providing cleaning services. With the housing slump lately, you will regain lots of houses that need to be cleaned out. Letting land lords know that you are available for these services in apartment complexes or your home town will reward you with regular work as well. You may also offer to remove all the left over furniture or junk, charge them a small fee, then take all the items that you remove to the auction and regain paid again for the same job!
Get creative on the services industry, and for goodness sake, do not just sit succor and say “Oh, woe is me” if you lose your job. There is work out there, you just need to go get it! And I don’t for that to sound in any way derogatory, I mean only to express to you that the work will come if you get your name known for whatever type of work you are willing to do.

4. EBAY
Ebay is the ULTIMATE place to sell things AND have security that your rights are preserved! Virtually everyone has something that they could sell. And, the old saying that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure is never so suitable as it is on ebay. You can literally find anything that you can think of on ebay for sale at glowing great any given time.
I mentioned earlier in the Auctions section about getting unwanted stuff from leftover, unsold auction items. Would you believe this…. I found some Royal Doulton gold-rimmed china in amazing condition, just sitting outside in a cardboard box along with all the other discarded junk. I grabbed those up for sure! I brought them home, took pictures, and posted them to ebay. By the close of my auctions, I had made $75 from those unwanted dishes. How’s that for a profit!
Not only can you sell things directly on ebay, but you can also buy things that you can either resell locally for a higher price OR resell right back onto ebay or onto other sales websites. Often you can gather wholesale lot auctions of all sorts of things on ebay, giving you substantial savings! I remember one time I saw a listing for 150 of these little ceramic babies, which I had noticed were being sold locally for about $2.99 each.
These were sophisticated baby announcements, you survey, and the tiny babies inside were either made to be worn as necklaces, to be used as tree ornaments, to be former as a clasp pin, or to be carried as a worry stone. The person selling all 150 had the price set at $10 for all of them, and just barely enough postage to mail them all out! Well, believe you me, I grabbed onto them. When they arrived, I took them suitable down to our local store where they were being sold, spoke to the manager, and unloaded them all for $50. They were absolutely thrilled with this price, as you can imagine, since they could make a substantial profit at their asking price. I made a $40 profit myself, so it was a true win-win arrangement!
I also make beadwork jewelry, and have done so for 21 years or so now. I sell the things I make on ebay all the time. And, because of my many years of repeated quality, customer service, and responsible way of doing business, I have numerous repeat customers who settle to contact me directly to status orders for special occasions or for customized gifts for others.
If you make anything at all, you can also sell these items on ebay. Or, perhaps instead of making something and then hoping it sells, you could place a listing on ebay that says something like “custom design your beget ——”, then let the customer relate you what they want and make or build it based on their specifications. Customers love this idea because they can truly get what they are looking for. You will love this idea because you will know that your item is already sold even before you make it!
The top-notch news about ebay is that they have certain protections in position for sellers. If somebody tries to scam you out of money or lie about the condition of your items, ebay has a seller’s negotiation option where an unbiased person will review your case and usually decide in your favor. Also, if you choose to allow people to pay you with paypal for your items, paypal also has a protection for sellers except theirs is a bit better and quicker AND seems to be more in favor of sellers than buyers.

WANT TO SIGN UP FOR EBAY?
Signing up as a buyer and/or seller on ebay is really quite simple. It is only a matter of following the prompts and entering your information. Ebay has this extraordinary program called “live help” too, which can connect you with someone who knows all about ebay and can serve you at anytime day or night.
So, to sign up for ebay go to this website:
At the top left hand corner it will say something like “Sign in or Register”. Click on Register, and begin the registration process. Once you have a user name and password, write down this information in your notebook!!!
———————————
ANOTHER Contrivance TO MAKE MONEY WITH EBAY
You may have heard of drop-shipping companies, such as SMC. These companies lift orders on your behalf and then ship items directly to your customers with your name on them. There are a number of different drop shipping companies that deal in any number of items. I personally have never worked with any of these sort of companies, but I have been a customer of them. Some are great, some are not, and some will send you terrible stuff. I cannot give you advice as to whether or not to follow that avenue, because I have not done it myself. It is, however a lucrative way to design money without any overhead or extensive paperwork.
Finally, one contrivance that I do know works well is to serve as a sales go-between for people who want to sell their things on ebay and people who want to buy things on ebay. You can either set up a store to do this or do it from your home with local advertising for your services. Basically what you do is take people’s stuff, list it on ebay for them, and if it sells you net a commission of the sales price. Customers always pay you up front for your listing fees so you are never out of pocket. The go-between store will package and ship out the item on the behalf of the current customer. If you do this from home, you can take off part of your electric, your internet service, your phone service, and maybe even exercise of one of your vehicles as business expenses! I have not personally ran a store like this, although I have helped family and friends to sell things on ebay. And also, before I got started with ebay myself, I did go to one of these stores and had them serve as the go between for me. It was a very good experience! I got paid fairly, all my fees and potential earnings were disclosed up front. The people who ran the store sold EVERYTHING!
————————————–
OTHER SITES TO SELL THINGS
Craigslist.org is a great place to unload things that can’t be shipped, that you don’t want to ship, or that you want to do business with locally. Craigslist is totally free to anyone. You can sell anything you like, and even give things away for free if you like, even unexpected puppies or kittens or whatever! And if you will recall, I mentioned placing ads in craigslist for affiliate marketing. Craigslist does have some safeguards in dwelling to prevent advise affiliate marketing, which is why you will need to follow the exact directions I listed under affiliate marketing if you want to catch around these barriers. Craigslist does not charge a single penny for anyone to list something for sale, although they do ask that you not place the exact same ad twice within a three day period. You do not have to create an account with craigslist in order to sell things there. Instead, you will receive a confirmation email to whatever email address you provide them, which you must click on to activate any ads. You can choose to list your contact information in the ad or remain anonymous. Customers who wish to contact you can email through craigslist, then craigslist will forward the message to you without revealing to anyone your personal information. I have sold an RV camper on craigslist within only three days for cash, a car on craigslist in only a week also for cash, and I found a great full set XBOX with games for my son for about a tenth of the new tag! Craigslist does not accept any liability for ads that are placed or any transaction that occurs between anyone, so with them, you are on your own. But, at the same time, since you are dealing with people locally its more personal and less likely to be ripped off by some scam artist.
——————
Amazon.com is a place to sell unwanted books of any sort or subject matter. Of course, you can sell these on ebay too, but amazon is known for literature sales. Amazon charges a small fee per item sold. Their sales procedures are self-explanatory. I have sold a few items through amazon and had a wonderful experience doing so.
Etsy.com is a location for selling jewelry. I personally have not sold on etsy, although I have a friend to sells there exclusively. Their fees are lower than ebay and they tend to cater to a more designer type marketplace. My friend has given me nothing but good reviews of etsy, and has tried to convince me to switch to them on a number of occasions. I think I am married to ebay, though! (haha)
